What do you feminists think about August National Golf Club?

That's actually 88% of regular feminists who are in support of sexist club admissions as long as they favor women.

Please provide a list of all these feminists on GWS who support this. I know I certainly don’t think it’s acceptable.
edit: I looked at the questions and responses and most of the GWS regulars didn’t say they supported it. Are you assuming that if a responders a female, they’re automatically feminist?
edit: I filtered out the regulars because those are the posters I’m familiar with. If I don’t know these other posters, I’m not going to make an assumption that they’re feminists. How could I possibly what their politics are if I’ve never seen them before?

I don’t what the YA feminists think about the GPA, but I know they ‘forgot’ that the FGPA existed. Somehow, miraculously it just vanished from their mind that men were not allowed in the FGPA.
It’s kinda like magic – one minute their sexism-detecting goggles are on & working … but the next minute, they’ve VANISHED into thin air.
Of course, the binary on/off switch for these invisible goggles depends entirely on who THEY determine is ’suffering’.

I don’t think about it. I don’t like golf so I don’t follow the tournaments nor do I care about what goes in in the clubs.

I can’t get to the link in question, but in ALL of my posts on ladies nights, I said everyone should pay cover. I did say I thought it was a marketing gimmick, but considering that came AFTER I said everyone should pay cover, I don’t understand how that means I agree with the practice.

OK, found the post. I was wrong, I said it was a gimmick first, but I did agree that it was sexist.

I will tell you the difference- night clubs are for-profit entities- They are private. They are owned by individuals.
The Augusta National Golf Club is a non profit, supposedly public benefit association. Organized under the laws of the US – since it is being given a tax benefit from our government it needs to operate under the laws. In essence it is owned by the public.

I believe in gender-specific bathrooms and locker rooms, and possibly some discussion groups, depending on what the discussion is. That’s it. The golf club should let women in, and clubs should let women pay at all times.
